後來，那個女孩幾次試圖逃跑，最後都因各種原因沒有成功。其實主要就是交通不太方便，再加上女孩身上又沒有錢，這出行就更加的困難了。女孩曾經試圖讓郵遞員給送信，不料那個郵遞員將信送還給了她現在的丈夫，那個男的雖然不識字，但是可以將它毀了。真是可惡的緊了，也因為那個女孩主要留下來是給他們家傳終接代的，還花了七千多。這換成誰都不會願意讓她走了。郵遞員沒有把信寄出去，這是一個小孩告訴她的，那個小孩因為家裡沒有錢，不能去學校讀書，被她看到了，她見這孩子可憐，又是那麼的想上學，於是主動的邀請他在自己家那裡，由她為他補習，小孩很是感激，當然，也就是這個小孩幫她把信送出去的。

在一個美麗的海邊小鎮，故事發生一個叫楚門的年青人身上，他每天上班下班，有很多友好的鄰居、同事和朋友，日子過得十分平靜而祥和。一切都因為一件小事而發生了改變，一天，楚門竟然在街上碰到自己的已經死去十多年的父親，這是怎麼回事？楚門開始懷疑他所生活的這個世界，經過他自己的努力調查，他發現包括他妻子、朋友、同事等所有的人都在騙他，一種發自內心的恐懼油然而生。事情越來越復雜，問題越來越多，所有的一切都顯得不對頭，由此而慢慢揭開了一件令人恐怖的事件。，
