可是,在影片《紅與黑》中最平淡無奇的一幕卻始終讓人回味無窮。神學院里,神父平靜的吹滅了那根代表於連的左邊第二根蠟燭,在於連的心中祈禱了萬千遍之後和黑教袍的夢想幻滅之前,於連的一半精神載體隨著經久不願飄散而最終不得不散盡的余煙,灰飛湮滅。對於神和關乎神的一切,於連掙扎著不願放棄,卻無能為力。他不是自己人生的主宰,那余煙成了於連一生最為真實的乾脆的寫照。
而書中最動人的一段,則是瑪蒂爾德的先祖瑪格麗特皇後,在自己的丈夫為了保住自己的地位而出賣了為自己賣命的密友同時也是瑪格麗特的情人拉穆爾之後,她驚世駭俗的行為。她躲在一間正對著格來夫廣場的屋子裡,向劊子手索取她情人的頭顱。半夜時分,她抱著那個頭,奔跑於迷霧之中,和著血和淚親手將其埋葬於教堂。於連死後,瑪蒂爾德小姐效法皇後,她堅持要用自己的雙手來埋葬她情人的頭顱,並用極其昂貴的義大利大理石雕刻的棺木將荒涼的山洞裝飾起來,她絕對祭奠自己和於連的高貴情感,因為於連的存在,荒蕪的心靈的感覺到過度文明中的長大的人可能有的全部熱情。於連的魅力只有深愛他的人才知曉,侯爵小姐是如此。市長太太在於連死後的第三天,抱吻著她的孩子們離開了這個世界,司湯達在書中的最後一句話,就是這個。
我沒有對於連的十分偏愛。相反,起先對於他的人格相當排斥,而且也不明白為什麼這個過於浪漫的事會被稱為現實主義的佳作,就如同不明白《巴黎聖母院》為什麼就是浪漫主義的代言一樣,後來又細細地回味書中的滋味,上部開篇便是丹東的一句:真理,苦楚的真理。沒錯,在於連追求完美的道路上,真理始終於他無緣。而下半部的開篇則是聖伯夫的一句:她並不美麗——她沒有抹胭脂。這更多的可能應該指於連吧,他始終不虛偽,在他自己的邏輯下,如魚得水,連幻滅都如此決絕。

影片〈紅與黑〉拍攝的很法國,很法國。法國固有的優雅,藝術在影片中得到最淋漓盡致的體現,於連的出場,我印象最深的是他下巴中間的那道溝,這讓我想起〈大明宮詞〉中小太平向母親歡欣雀躍地描述薛紹的長相時,說到的這道溝,從那時起,我知道了原來這道溝是美男子的象徵,那麼於連就是不折不扣的美男子了,可是他始終讓我覺得更像張易之而不是薛紹,其實後來才發現,他們從精神上說都是完美的理想主義者,於連綜合了薛紹的善良和張易之的癲狂,不過,他們都忠實於最初的自己,只對於這一點來說,我覺得他們都相當可敬,我的一位好朋友只對於連評價過這么一句,如果我是於連,我決不會槍殺市長夫人。聽了他這句話,我深知他是個感情上的好人。但是我也原諒了於連,原諒了一時意氣用事的孩子所犯下的罪行,有時覺得可愛又可恨的於連,在我心裡最好的形容詞莫過於無辜。我的另一位仁兄聲稱,於連最後槍殺市長太太之後,他沒有憐憫他,而是尊重他,一個生綉的靈魂終於被鉛洗干凈,而於連,也被達到了認知的頂峰,他的善良,他的罪惡……

於連和苔絲

搜遍整部中外文學史,跟於連性情最相近的,莫過於苔絲.
前幾天,下了雪,我躲在屋裡看電影頻道播放的法國電影<苔絲>,娜塔沙·金斯基主演的,我看的時候已經過半了,可苔絲一臉的憂容,我記得她在回家的路上,晚上睡在樹林里,對著燃燒的篝火,她告誡自己,一切都是因為虛榮,火焰照亮了她年輕的臉龐,這句話刻進了心坎里。後來,苔絲為生活所迫,嫁給了她富有的恩人,在她的情人重新出現之後,苔絲義無返顧地槍殺了自己的恩人,最後被叛了絞刑,可她一點都沒有悔意,那神情像極了於連。
《苔絲》拍攝的相當朦朧,鄉村的田野異常寧靜,或許是在暗示女主人公生命的低沉,影片的基調灰濛蒙的,一直籠罩於霧靄之中。
苔絲和於連一樣都是生命的坐標端正明確,可自己卻始終在迷霧中奔跑,清楚方向,卻看不到曙光,這就是永恆糾結於他們心中的主題,也是他們的人生,水中花式的倒影。
