一部超級好看的科幻電影，可以這么說，獨立日是迄今為止我看到過的，地球人與外星人交戰的最精彩的一部電影，不單單講述了地球人如何戰勝外星人的故事，更講述了信任國家安全，愛情，以及人們面對危險的時候，有的人選擇逃避，而有的人選擇直面危險，有的人甚至可以拋卻一切，只是為了完成自己的任務，在巨大的危險面前，我們是渺小的，我們是懦弱的，但我們同樣是強大的，我們只要能夠直面自己內心的恐懼，那麼真正的恐懼就不會戰勝我們，獨立日就是講述了一個這樣的故事。

戰斗機駕駛員史蒂文，就是這樣一個英雄，他放棄了與自己女朋友能夠在一起逃命的機會，毅然決然的選擇了向著危險前進，這部片子確實有點主旋律的意思，在危險面前，無論何時何地，軍人都會選擇為自己的國家，為自己的人民去犧牲，最後是一文一武，兩位大英雄終於合作無間，消滅了外星人。
