電影院的英文：Cinema、Movie、Theater。

一、電影院的規模按觀眾廳的容量可分為：

（1）特大型1801座以上或11個廳以上；

（2）大型1201座～1800座或8~10個廳；

（3）中型701座～1200座或5~7個廳；

（4）小型700座以下或4個廳。

二、電影院的質量標准分特、甲、乙、丙四個等級（與特大、大、中、小型交叉組合）。特等要求根據具體情況確定。甲、乙、丙等的相應要求應符合下列規定：

（1）、主體結構耐久年限：甲等100年以上，乙等50～100年，丙等25～50年。
