一個苦難民族苦難歷史的縮影。歷史上被滅亡的種族有很多，而猶太人的苦難之所以還被人記著，是因為猶太人中間出了一個大智慧的人——耶穌。

整部片子實際上是兩個故事：賓虛的故事，以及耶穌的故事，其中耶穌的故事更完整。影片一開始就是在講耶穌的誕生，影片最後講耶穌的死和復活（就是在十字架前走過的牧羊的那個牧羊人）。

我們從賓虛的身上看到了基督教教義如何從猶太教里脫胎而出，又如何針對猶太教的不足作出突破。猶太教強調律法，但律法並不能救贖猶太人，猶太人依舊家破人亡。而基督教強調來自心底的愛，不只是對自己的愛，對自己信仰的神的愛，而是對他人的愛，甚至包括對敵人的愛。耶穌讓人們放下手中的劍，拿起寬容，因為愛是比暴力更為強大的力量。因為暴力，猶太人亡國滅種；但因為愛，猶太人把上帝的國建在每個人的心裡，永生不滅。

不了解《新約聖經》的人，不了解基督教教義的人，很難看懂這部片子所要表達的意思。這部片子忠實地闡述了耶穌關於愛的思想，盡管耶穌在影片中只展現了一個背影和模糊的臉，但我們知道他無所不在，第一次，賓虛在快渴死的時候禱告：「我的神啊，求你救救我！」，耶穌就自然而然地出現在他的面前，給了他一瓢水引用。那個羅馬軍官看到耶穌的時候，竟然不敢直視他的平和，暴力在愛的面前退卻。第二次，賓虛在救執政官的時候，執政官對賓虛說：「你的神救了你，也順便救了羅馬軍隊」。第三次，耶穌在死後升天的剎那，因著艾斯特對耶穌的信心，救好了賓虛的母親和妹妹的麻風病。神從來沒有離棄過賓虛，只要猶太人信他，不拋棄他，按神的話語做事情，猶太人就能在全世界建立起上帝的國度！

影片中最震撼人心的場面是賽馬的場面。細心的人應該會發現，米斯拉有犀利的戰車，有健碩的馬，更主要的是，他御馬的方法是用鞭子，用鞭子狠狠抽打；而賓虛是用「愛」來駕馭馬，他根本就沒有帶鞭子。盡管在體育競賽中，暴力似乎比愛更有力量，而我們看到的結果是愛對暴力的完勝。賓虛完勝，而米斯拉身死。整個畫面拍得很唯美，1959年是沒有電腦特技的時代，那是一個真實而動人心魄的場面。沒有誰看到這個場面不熱血沸騰的！

評分10分。近乎完美的片子。裡面還有一個非常有意思的人是那個阿拉伯酋長，非常可愛。那四匹馬也拍得非常好，竟然能拍出馬的個性和趣味出來，有的淘氣、有的暴烈、有的沉穩、有的沖勁十足，只有愛馬的人才能發現馬的這些特質，而一個只把馬當作工具的人，他眼裡的所有的馬都是馬，都是一種不同於人的動物存在，是不可能發現人和馬之間這種上帝賜予的同樣的「愛」，這種愛也能產生出偉大的力量。導演重筆描述人和馬之間的感情，不是為了煽情，而是為下一場賽馬的大戲作為鋪墊，是為了說明「愛比暴力更有力量」這一電影主題。

I love Forrest that he doesnt lose his purity through the movie, or maybe he just cant ,but either way, this shows us dont need to be evil or really intelligent to be recognised or successful.

It is just a movie, so maybe it doesnt work like that in reality.A simply means is that the acting and story of this film got a high level like the real . And in my definition thats what a good movie should be able to do.
