劇情簡介：

《芝加哥》根據1927年發生在芝加哥的真實犯罪事件改編，1928年首度搬上銀幕。1977年百老匯名製作人鮑勃·佛西將這個故事在百老匯重現，並因此獲得兩座東尼獎。1996年，《芝加哥》重回百老匯時，獲頒了最佳重映舞台劇等6項大獎，今年又重新又米拉麥克斯搬上大銀幕。 影片講述在上個世紀混亂的20年代，芝加哥的伴舞女郎Roxie Hart(齊薇格扮演)射殺了她那不忠的男友，被捕入獄。在監獄中，她碰到了另一位伴舞女郎Velma Kelly(澤塔—瓊斯扮演)，後者同樣是一位殺人犯，在媒體的曝光率非常高。 一位叫Billy Flynn(理察-基爾扮演)的律師正在處理她的案件，但很快的，Hart的光芒蓋過了Kelly，成為鎮上最著名的殺人犯，並即將出獄。兩人為了共同嚮往的東西————自由與名聲———展開了爭奪。他們首先同絕無人性的律師Billy編造出一個美麗的殺人誤會，博得傳媒、大家的同情，成為大眾焦點，誰知好戲在後頭，Roxie和Velma竟然也被律師出賣了…
