喜歡這個系列的電影，不僅僅是因為ROCKY的扮演者西爾維斯特史泰龍是我所欣賞的動作明星，更重要的原因是《ROCKY》系列的生動而緊湊的劇情以及振奮人心的音樂還有貫穿整個系列劇情的靈魂——永不放棄，堅持不懈。

ROCKY，他原本只是一個打黑拳，替大佬收取保護費的一個小人物，一次偶然的機會，遇到了自己的恩師，曾經拳壇傳奇人物——米奇，是米奇告訴他，一名真正的拳手，應該是在擂台上獲得勝利，而絕非是這種黑色拳賽中的稱霸。

獲得成功是百分之九十九的努力，加上百分之一的機遇。或許是上帝的眷顧，ROCKY 迎來了那個改變他一生的「百分之一」，拳王阿波羅向ROCKY發出挑戰，作為男人，對勝利的渴望，讓他應下了這場無人看好的比賽，於是電影就在激昂的背景音樂下開始上演了ROCKY艱苦而又嚴格的訓練。
