《宵禁》 ：活著的理由

《宵禁》是85屆奧斯卡最佳短片，影片的開頭顯示男主正在自殺，而旁邊的電話響起，傳來妹妹的聲音，要他幫忙照看侄女，電話中可以看出兄妹倆關系不好，兩人都很無奈，隨後便交代了關系不好的原因——男主曾經摔傷了侄女，於是妹妹切斷了與他的聯系。這部片子有兩條線，一是對男主生命的救贖，一是對男主妹妹親情和信任的救贖。男主因為無能，吸毒不被家人待見，內心脆弱卻得不到幫助，對生活失去了熱情，在廣場上除了男主所有人都在跳舞，唯獨男主靜靜地看著，反映出男主在現實生活中只是個看客，但內心有極其渴望人間的溫暖和活力，現實與嚮往碰撞，使男主陷入了絕望。這就使電話出現在片頭變的合理，給了男主活著的理由。而妹妹是極沒有安全感的人，哥哥的失誤和遭到的家庭暴力讓她痛恨男人，對男人很不信任，所以不讓自己的女兒與男人接觸，甚至規定了活動地點和回家的時間。最後是親情的救贖，通過幾個小時的接觸，小侄女對男主產生了依賴感，男主對妹妹講出了「遺言」，妹妹被感動，也放下了心理的戒備。結局是男主被妹妹打來的第二個電話救贖，不再自殺，妹妹重新有了信任的勇氣，互相依靠，皆大歡喜。
