Borrowing from masters like Sam Peckinpah and David Lean， the actor/director has crafted an exceptional cinematic tapestry in only his sophomore effort。 Most of the time， three hour movies have a few flat spots， but Braveheart is constantly on the move -- riveting from start to finish。 When the end credits began to roll， I was hard pressed to accept that nearly 170 minutes had elapsed。

現實就是這樣了，有些東西是註定不能在這樣的社會里生存下去的。Edward能怎樣呢？他還不是只能怯畏的舉起自己的剪刀手。他能見剪出漂亮的發型，剪出精美的園藝，剪掉自己身上的衣服，可是他卻始終剪不掉，剪不掉別人對他的誤解，剪不掉和這整個世界的格格不入，剪不出夢想的形狀。



Edward在電視里接受采訪的時候，有觀眾問if you had regular hands, you
would be like anyone else. Peggy幫他回答說，No matter what, Edward will always be
special.
但是我想也許不是的，Edward is
special只是因為他有一雙丟不掉的剪刀手，而我們在成長的過程中往往這樣輕易的放棄，放棄自己曾經傻傻地執著的堅持的東西，放棄童年的夢想，丟掉自己的不被世人接受的剪刀手，然後再也剪不出那些神奇的形狀。

所以沒有剪刀手的Edward就不再是Edward 了。
我想Edward自己也是知道的，不然在聽到這樣的問題的時候，if you had
regular hands, you would be like anyone else.這樣被認定為尖銳的問題的時候，他不會只是淡淡地說一句Yes, I
know.


我們每一個人，都曾經是一個小小的Edward，有一雙大大的剪刀手，它不常常受我們的控制，它笨拙得不能握手，它有時會傷害別人，可是它也是一雙神奇的剪刀手，它剪得出這世界上最美的形狀，剪得出大雪紛飛。

後來呢？
後來我們在流言蜚語里成長，穿上襯衫，穿上褲子，穿上別人的期望。我們裝模作樣的成長，丟掉自己的剪刀手，為了生存，和大家變得一樣。

我們有了一雙真的手，我們用這雙手和自己不喜歡的人握手擁抱，玩弄各種各樣我們新學會的花樣。不用顧忌，不用謙恭的小心翼翼，不用溫順的微笑。

成長真是一個疼痛的社會化過程。


可是你還記得自己曾經的那個Edward嗎？他小小的脆弱的身子，他不小心劃在自己身上的傷痕，他安靜的眉眼，他的簡單倔強，橫沖直撞，他率性而為，他有時不小心傷害別人，他常常懵懂又無助。

你還記得嗎？你心裡還有一點點他的影子嗎？


結局只能是這樣，要不然就像我們一樣，丟掉自己的剪刀手，丟掉那一部分不能被人接受的自我，要不然，就像Edward，用自己的剪刀手剪碎身上的衣服，扔掉所有的光環和傷害，剪掉這個世界強加給你的與自己格格不入的一切外殼，然後逃走。
