過了一會兒，王子走了進來，城牆外的喊聲越來越大，還能聽到一些鈍器相撞的聲音——有人正試圖砸開城堡的大門。

「和我去城樓上看看吧？」王子再次向奧蘿拉伸出手，但是她只是點點頭，示意王子走在她的前面。

「發生什麼事情了？」她問。

「西邊鎮子里的那些村民不知為什麼，都來到了城堡前，說要見你。」

「為什麼？」

「他們不對我說。」

城樓上，奧蘿拉看到城外站著上百個人，人們看到睡美人出現，便都安靜了下來，也許是被她的美麗震撼，也許僅僅是在叫囂後的休息。然後，一個女人突然叫了出來：「說！你把玫瑰都藏到哪裡去了？！」

「玫瑰？……」奧蘿拉聽著那人的問話，一臉不知所措的樣子。她不知道，在她沉睡的這一百年裡，包圍著城堡的玫瑰便成了城堡周圍那唯一一座小鎮的特產，大朵的鮮紅的玫瑰，而且永遠不會枯萎，永遠都那麼芬芳。但是自從她醒來後，玫瑰叢便消失了，那些已經被賣出的玫瑰也同時枯萎了，許許多多買了花的客人紛紛找到了鎮上，要他們為他們的謊言作出解釋和賠償——永不凋謝的花朵，也有枯黃的一天。

「不要一臉無知的樣子，從你醒來後，我們就找不到玫瑰了！一定都是被你藏了起來！你在城堡里每天都過著奢華的日子，我們卻在挨餓，還遭到莫須有的指責！！」城外那些人越說越激動，很多人又開始用大木樁撞擊城門，試圖闖進城堡，搶到一些好處。

王子看著奧蘿拉蒼白的臉，輕輕的對她說：「你先回去休息吧，知道了原因，問題就由我來解決。」

「這……」

「回去吧，我的公主，我就是死了，也是為您而死。」王子平靜的說著，翡翠一般的綠色眼睛裡，全是公主的憂郁。

「好，但是請您一定要小心。」奧蘿拉第一次這樣戀戀不舍的看著他，在侍女的陪同下，回到的城堡里。

後來，王子通過與鎮上長老的談判，決定用自己國家的錢來補貼鎮里的損失——奧蘿拉的國家早在一百年前便消失了，現在她所有的財富就是那座城堡。她對王子的寬容還有他無私的幫助感到愧疚，但是沒過多久，那種愧疚也不復存在了，那個鎮子里突然爆發了熱病，鎮子里的人、去鎮子里討債的人全都被傳染，不能走的只好在那裡等死，能走的便都離開了那片不祥的土地。

又過了一年，奧蘿拉公主生下了一個可愛的小王子（她都不和王子接觸，怎麼會有小王子？——魔法時代有什麼是不可能的呢？），王子決定請當初為奧蘿拉祝福的十二位仙女來為小王子洗禮。

於是在洗禮日當天，城堡的大餐桌上擺了十二個金盤——那也是在奧蘿拉出生時使用過的。十二個仙女從十二個方位趕來，為可愛的小王子祝福，一個送給他寬容、一個送給他正義、另一個送給他愛心……十二個仙女送了使他會成為一個善良人的所有必備品德，但就在第十二個仙女放下魔杖的時候，那個詛咒奧蘿拉死亡的邪惡仙女出現了。她二話不說，撲向了那個睡著小王子的搖籃，就在千鈞一發之際，王子衡到了邪惡仙女面前，並用手中的寶劍砍向了她。

「你給我讓開！」邪惡仙女用嘶啞的聲音叫著，一手拿著法杖，另一隻手則捂著自己被砍傷的肩膀。

邪惡仙女的嘴裡咕喃著奇怪的咒語，王子則再次舉劍向她刺來——在眨眼的功夫里，那把劍變換了方向，插進了他自己的胸膛。

「王子！！」奧蘿拉的身上終於回復了力氣，她從寶座上跑了下來，第一次，也是最後一次，緊緊的抱住了王子。從王子傷口上流出的血染紅了她水藍色的長裙，也吸走了她臉上最後的一絲紅色。

「你終於肯碰我了……」王子微微睜著眼睛，嘴角無力的向上挑了挑。
