影片以宿命般的巧合安排了兩位男主人公的第二次相遇。因為無法遏制內心對阿里西亞的感情，貝尼諾對處在昏迷狀態的阿里西亞進行了性侵犯，並導致她意外懷孕。馬克嘗試著用交談與莉迪亞溝通，但他卻在另外一個男人的介入後選擇了退出。影片的結尾「刻意」安排了馬克與蘇醒過來的阿里西亞不期而遇，為另一段嶄新的感情埋下伏筆。導演在此並沒有做多餘的暗示，而是讓鏡頭凝固在目光相會的瞬間，留給人無限的遐想。本片所容納的豐富內涵與探討力度使它遠遠超出一般意義上的言情片。導演的處理手法彷彿具有一種魔力，將兩段看來不可能的愛情拍得栩栩如生，貝尼諾「強奸」心上人的一段設計尤其妙不可言。
