很有意思的是，尼莫似乎总会再遇到安娜，无论是选择跟随父亲还是母亲，无论是选择安娜还是埃利斯。

尼莫在婚礼当天遭遇爆炸，成为埃利斯时间线上的科学家。他研究了火星、时间和熵，但最终遇到了安娜，尽管那个时间线上的安娜刚刚成为寡妇并有了孩子。

影片的最后，9岁的尼莫跑进了小径，吹来的树叶终于让安娜终于找到了多年后一直等着她的尼莫。这片叶子就是《无姓男子》中的“蝴蝶效应”。

在另一条时间线上，讲完一切的老人尼莫，临死前似乎顿悟了，告诉人们，所有的路都是同等重要的，小声说着安娜的名字，安详地死去。

反正尼莫其实已经做出了自己的选择，他唯一的选择，他生命的意义。为此，他也和安娜一样，放弃了所有其他的可能性。

在这一点上，导演想要表达的人生哲学已经让人明白了，那就是无论是尼莫、安娜，还是离家出走的埃利斯和琼，他们其实都在寻找爱情，而这种对爱情的寻找才是人生的意义。

而且无论影片中哪个时间线，安娜都会有意无意的出现，但这并不是说所有的路都是为了遇见安娜，把安娜的时间线放在其他经历之上。

相反，电影想表达的是，我们的生活中似乎有很多可能性可以选择，未来的各种道路会展开，但我们的生活中总会有一些不可描述的存在，引导我们走向真正的生活道路。

因为，我们真正热爱的，真正感兴趣的，发自内心的，才是我们生命的意义。在这一点上，我们不需要知道未来，我们需要问自己，就像尼莫知道电影中的一切，但他不能做出选择，最终他要探索自己的内心。

就像尼莫在每一个时间线上的生命成长阶段，我们每一个人都会经历生老病死，但我们仍然可以对自己的人生进行深入思考。在我们做出很多选择之前，至少有机会没有选择，可以先听听自己的内心。
