一个关于上校的故事,一个关于争取自由的故事,一个关于南北战争的故事.
早先就得知过这部电影,一晃这么些年,终于定下心来慢慢看完了,英雄的故事总是能让人心神雀跃.
不过今天阿信又有了新想法,Monie问我是不是喜欢看战争片,当时有点被问倒的感觉. 怎么说呢,好电影我都看.
不过今天最大的收获居然是在洗澡的时候获得的,具体理论如下:阿信认为世界是由男人和女人组成的,所以我们身边的故事也总是免不了会有男女参杂其中,而战争总是充斥着血腥,暴力,争斗,那是属于男人的,爱情充满幻想,主观臆测,是感性的,所以属于女人,那么什么电影可以把这两者融合在一起呢,那就只有战争爱情片了,此类影片影响巨大,老少闲宜,男女通吃,可谓经典中的经典啊.

To think that this movie did not win Best Picture is a crime. Director Steven Spielberg uses all of his talent and resources to give to the world the greatest war film ever made.

Though it's true that this is not the type of movie you want to sit down with the family and eat popcorn, the emotional drive of the picture, the story's poignant messages, and the fantastic acting of the cast draws you into a world that is both dangerous and unpredictable.

Spielberg is able to take you into action and make you feel as if you are a participant in the movie and not just a viewer. This is Tom Hanks' best movie he ever did. Forget his performances in Philadelphia and Forrest Gump (though they were also good); he should have received another Oscar for the role of Capt. John Miller, a leader who must act strong in front of his men, but must also hide his emotions from them. It would have been well-deserved if he won again.

I give this movie my highest recommendation. Saving Private Ryan is a movie that makes you realize how life is precious and how honor and ty, though they are deep philosophical concepts that are praised in war, can put you in jeopardy of losing your life for something you may not believe in.

This movie really drew me into the main character's world and kept me engaged all the way to the end. The opening is very strong and it's easy to get hooked in right from the start.

The movie is based on real life situations / events of gunrunners. It follows the life of a clever immigrant who realizes two basic needs of people: they need to eat and they need weapons. Regarding the latter, there's not a lot of competition and margins are high.

Nicolas Cage gives a brilliant performance and keeps the viewer interested in the lead character and his world throughout the movie. The supporting characters also deliver excellent, intense performances.

If you see this movie, you'll not only see a good movie, but you'll get an insight into the wold of international arms dealing. This is not a movie that presents material "over the heads" of viewers like some movies that deal in world affairs - it is easily accessible, understandable and enjoyable. Definitely recommended.
