Today is Saturday and I watched an interesting movie at home, Kung Fu Panda. It is an American computer-animated action comedy film, based on the theme of Chinese Kung Fu.

The story is about a clumsy panda who determines to be a martial arts master. Paul is a apprentice of a noodle shop, and most of animal in his hometown are martial arts master, expect him. So he dreams to be a master and beats others.

Unexpectedly, he takes on the task of saving the valley to against the intrusion of evil Taro. Although Paul is a martial arts novice, he never gives up easily. Finally, he proves himself by his success. It’s an interesting and motivational story.

Sometimes, we may not as good as others, but we still can achieve by our efforts and strong wills. As long as we do not give up our dreams, nothing is impossible.

今天是星期六，我在家看了一部有趣的电影《功夫熊猫》。这是一部以中国功夫为主题的美国电脑动画动作喜剧电影。

这个故事是关于一只笨拙的熊猫谁决定成为一个武术大师。保罗是一家面馆的学徒，他家乡的大部分动物都是武术大师，除了他。所以他梦想成为一名大师，并打败了其他人。

《外星人保罗》是关于一对英国GEEK好友去美国西海岸参加动漫年会时发生的故事，跟simon&nick 的其他电影稍有不同。此次是nick挑大梁，simon则是在旁做王牌绿叶，像nick以前一样。
此次Edgar将不作导演~导演也许像spaced一样由simon&nick来担当~Edgar 则是制片人和执行制作以及的脚本编剧的角色。

尽管剧中另一主角保罗的外形由CGI制作完成，但是他的声音必须人性化，Fellner说，"如果保罗是个完完全全的CGI角色，那就没劲了。他是一个在行为上的正常人，只是碰巧长着一张外星人的脸还有一些超能力罢了。经过各项测试之后，我们决定必须要有个演员来主导动画角色，而不是相反。"配音的角色落在了塞斯·罗根的身上。这位美国喜剧明星曾在《超级坏蛋》中跟导演合作过。由于剧中给保罗设定的背景是他在地球上生活了快60年，深受流行文化的影响，因此罗根也提出了自己对角色的看法，他说，"鉴于保罗在地球上生活了那么久，他身上应该融入了一些厌世却又相当淡定的性格，能和一行人的紧张气氛形成强烈的对比。我觉得这帮瞎紧张的书呆子遇上一个像尼尔·杨那样的老嬉皮士，虽饱经沧桑却气定神闲，又不乏对新事物的热情，这样的故事肯定很精彩。"

"Hollow Man" is a pretty good movie if you're a fan of science fiction and great special effects.

The effects, like in Verhoeven's other sci-fi movie Starship Troopers, are outstanding, much better than "The Invisible Man". The theme is nice and to a greater extent than The Invisible Man or Dark Man, Hollow Man explores the absence of morality in science and the nature of the absence of moral or religious constraints. The scientist as Creator, and the scientist as God, spying at humans from a far. There are also couple of nice moments where people or items are missing from the screen, playing with the central theme of the movie.

Verhoeven puts in his usual trademark male and female nudity and sex, and Elisabeth Shue is very nice on the eyes.

However, the last part of the movie isn't very imaginative, and ends up being just a spot the boogieman ending with a handful of uninvolving (dare I say hollow?) people you don't really care enough about. Frankly, I cared more about the lab animals.

To my mind, the central theme - the danger of the absence of morality in and through science - is not explored enough. However, the special effects are great, if you like special effects.
