Ⅰ 《勇敢的心》结局梅尔吉普森那句“freedom”有什么含义

整部影片写的是战争，freedom强调的主题是“自由”。

1、影片主人公华莱士起初并不是一个骁勇善战愿意征战沙场的战士，他有自己对未来的打算，他不是一个贪心的人，他想要的生活很简单，娶妻生子，一家人快乐幸福。

2、让华莱士意想不到的是英格兰的入侵让他极简的生活都被打破。后来他有了自己的爱人，可又是在残酷的现实中他失去了挚爱，为了给爱妻报仇卷进了抗击英格兰殖民者的战争中。华莱士极度渴望自由，于是他领导着那些也渴望自由愿意为了保卫自己家园的民众向英军开战，未解除英格兰的奴役而战。

3、战争愈演愈烈，形式也一直没能好转，但他依然不愿放弃任何一个争取自由的机会，拒绝妥协和臣服，毅然接受酷刑。当他在忍受极刑之痛时，执行官也向过往宽恕赐他速死，华莱士没说一句话。最后的剖腹之刑也是他生命的最后时刻，他歇斯底里的喊出了最后一句话，他一直为此而战的一句话——freedom！自由。

《勇敢的心》创作背景

《勇敢的心》是根据真人真事改编的一部电影，影片的人物原型就是英国历史上富有传奇色彩的英雄人物：威廉·华莱士。《勇敢的心》的剧本改编自兰道尔·华莱士1995年出版的小说，而小说就是以《华莱士之歌》为蓝本进行创作再加工的。

在创作剧本的时候，编剧兰德尔手里掌握的关于威廉·华莱士的史料很少，于是兰德尔根据15世纪末爱尔兰游唱诗人亨利所吟诵的史诗创作剧情[6]。

兰德尔最开始打算从威廉·华莱士的成年开始写起，加入孩提时的前序是后来产生的想法；按照剧本的初稿，Murron在华莱士父亲的葬礼上原本送给华莱士的是朵玫瑰而不是影片呈现的蓟花，但后来有人指出，玫瑰是英国的象征，放在这个具有特定历史背景的剧里十分不合适，所以后来换成了蓟花。
