未成年的小兵“小湖北”每晚充满向往地看着对岸的歌舞升平，白天却要经历战火的洗礼和亲友的伤亡。他是带着对大上海的向往从庄稼地里被征来的，来了之后，蛋糕、洋酒、歌剧都见识到了，中间却隔着不可度过的死生之河——只要胆敢越界，就是一颗子弹。
